The Starting Eleven That Xabi Alonso Wants To Use At Real Madrid

According to Fabrizio Romano, new Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso already has a clear idea of the starting eleven he wants to build at the Bernabéu, and it is full of youth, power, and world-class talent. Here is how Los Blancos could line up starting from next season.

Goalkeeper: Courtois

Defenders: Trent, Militão/Rüdiger, Huijsen, Carreras

Midfielders: Tchouaméni, Valverde, Mastantuono, Bellingham

Attackers: Mbappé, Vini Jr.

Alonso could deploy a 4-4-2 or 4-2-2-2 formation based on the selection. In whichever one he uses, Thibaut Courtois is seemingly going to play between the sticks.Despite injury setbacks, he is still one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

In defense, Alonso wants to bring in Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back. Militão or Rüdiger could sit in the center-back role alongside young Dean Huijsen. Carreras could be the team’s left-back in the starting lineup.

In midfield, the new manager is seemingly sticking with Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde, both known for their energy and ball-winning skills. This gives Real Madrid a strong base in the center. Talented new signing Mastantuono is part of the plan, alongside Jude Bellingham, who operates on the midfield wing.

In the attack, Alonso is reportedly going to deploy Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Jr., arguably two of the fastest and most dangerous forwards presently. Mbappé could play as the main striker, with Vinícius Jr. supporting him.

Looking at the starting eleven, it’s Alonso is planning to play fast and aggressive football when the season starts. Real Madrid’s future looks incredibly exciting and very hard to stop.
